W. Donald Wellman

W. Donald Wellman was born on Sept. 15, 1927 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Roscoe & Minnie (Gamble) Wellman. On Dec. 28, 1949 he married Patricia M. Bryant. Don was a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years serving in Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Colorado, Florida, and Arizona. He received an honorary doctorate from Olivet Nazarene University, where he was awarded an Outstanding Alumni. He founded Discipling Ministries International, an organization dedicated to understanding and spreading the Word of God, and whose publications are translated into seven languages. Don passed away in 2004.
